New alliance of leading European research and innovation campuses

Campus Squared is a new alliance of leading European research and innovation campuses. It brings together some of Europe’s most advanced innovation ecosystems, where world-class research facilities stand alongside shared laboratories and communities of talent, driving breakthroughs at global scale.

The founding members each host, or are closely connected to, nationally significant research facilities within intentionally managed campuses. Located near some of Europe’s major metropolitan regions, these locations combine critical R&D capacity with a strong placemaking vision, making them gateways for world-changing companies, talent, suppliers and investment for decades to come.

The founding campuses are:

  • Adlershof Science and Technology Park, Berlin, DE
  • Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire, UK
  • High Tech Campus Eindhoven, NL
  • Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare, Villigen, CH
  • Science Village, Lund, SE

Create proactive platforms

The purpose of Campus Squared is to create a proactive platform for Europe’s leading research and innovation campuses to share insights and experiences, develop a collective voice, and coordinate practical collaboration. Member campuses represent Europe’s front doors for specialist companies to experiment, prototype and grow, while delivering programmes that serve diverse innovation communities and ecosystems. Through this alliance members aim to strengthen cooperation and address common challenges collectively in the years to come.

The signing took place during the first annual meeting on 12th November 2025 in Lund, Sweden, hosted by one of the founding campuses Science Village, in Lund.
