Swiss PIC opens manufacturing center at Park Innovaare

With the new manufacturing center, Swiss PIC offers companies – from start-ups to established technology companies – the opportunity to assemble photonic microchips precisely and efficiently, enabling them to move to small-scale production more quickly. As part of the national AM-TTC network, Swiss PIC is thus significantly strengthening the emerging photonics cluster at Park Innovaare.

“Swiss PIC assembles photonic microchips from technology companies with industry-standard connectors, enabling rapid access to a much wider range of applications than would be possible with connectorless microchips,” explains Christoph Harder, CEO of Swiss PIC.

As the second technology transfer center in Park Innovaare – alongside ANAXAM – Swiss PIC is strengthening the emerging photonics cluster in Villigen in Aargau. Park Innovaare CEO Robert Rudolph emphasizes: “The Swiss PIC manufacturing center embodies how deep tech research is translated into industrial solutions.” Aargau State Councilor Dieter Egli also praised the center's importance for Aargau as a location for innovation and its close cooperation with PSI.
