Based on the new Federal Act on the Transparency of Legal Entities and the Identification of Beneficial Owners (‘TJPG’), which will come into force on 1 October 2026, a new state-run central register of beneficial owners will be in place. The vast majority of Swiss companies are affected, must identify, verify and report their beneficial owners.
