After having attended one of PARK INNOVAARE’s funding info event, Nomoko, InterAx, and GratXray applied for the first stage of the SME Instrument from Horizon 2020 and won EUR 50k each. We are proud to see that the event format is bearing fruit! Last Thursday, the fourth session dedicated to such non-dilutive funding instruments took place at PARK INNOVAARE. We hope it has inspired others to seek to participate in the competition.

Funding is one of the biggest hurdles on the way to success. Raising the capital is, of course, a challenge, but it is an even greater challenge to find the right type of money. To help solve this problem, PARK INNOVAARE, supported by the Canton of Aargau and Aargau Services, Hightech Zentrum Aargau, and Horizon 2020 fund experts M27 and Inspiralia, initiated a funding info event. Over 15 companies have already taken part in the series of workshops, including one-to-one evaluation sessions, and learned how to successfully apply for European grants, such as the SME Instrument from Horizon 2020.

First step towards a prestigious European grant

Three PARK INNOVAARE start-ups, Nomoko and GratXray, supported by our partner experts from M27 and Inspiralia, have now successfully passed phase 1 of the SME Instrument program. Each company has received EUR 50,000 for the feasibility study to be conducted before entering phase 2 of the competition. If successful, the start-ups can raise up to EUR 2.5 million for launching their projects.

We congratulate Nomoko, InterAx, and GratXray on this success and wish them good luck in phase 2 of the competition! We also encourage others to join us at one of our next funding (see our event page) info events and to participate in the SME Instrument competition.
