A delegation of 30 PhD students and professionals from the graduate program of Technopreneurship and Innovation Management of the Chulalongkorn University, the best academic institution in Thailand, visited two sites of Switzerland Innovation: Park Biel/Bienne and PARK INNOVAARE.
After an engaging tour around Park Biel/Bienne, where the students learned about innovation in advanced manufacturing, medtech and mobility, the group arrived to Villigen. Nils Gebhardt, managing director of innovAARE AG, introduced the guests to the concept of a national network of innovation hubs, such as Switzerland Innovation, whose role is to connect the research and the industry and to facilitate the technology transfer. He also touched upon the challenges Switzerland faces in innovation sector and the importance to insure the leading position of the country.
Later on the group visited the large research facilities of the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI, including the Proton Therapy Center.
